WJD-Kruis en het icoon van Onze Lieve Vrouw gearriveerd
Na meer dan 400 locale gemeenschappen te hebben bezocht en begroet te zijn door meer dan 400.000 Australiërs, zijn vandaag het WJD-Kruis en het Icoon van Onze Lieve Vrouw per boot aangekomen in Sydney. Na enthousiast begroet te zijn door de verzamelde pelgrims gingen de symbolen in processie naar het Centraal Station.
E-mail uit Goulburn
We kregen een onverwachte e-mail van een van de gastgezinnen uit Goulburn:
My name is Ian James and I had the great pleasure to welcome Edith and Jeroen Peters into my home for a few nights as a part of the WYD08 preparations. Edith and Jeroen are a real credit to your country and you should be very proud of the way they presented themselves: they are polite, courteous and a lovely youths.
My family also had the pleasure of hosting Pastor Huub Flohr and his group for a few nights, again they were a true credit to their country. They made us want to visit the Netherlands to see more of your home.
I just wanted to pass on my congratulations as they are all wonderful people, their behaviour in my home was excellent and I hope they enjoy the rest of their stay and the festivities of the WYD.
